Beijing International High-Tech Expo (Beijing International High-Tech Industry Week) is authorized by the State Department of People's Republic of China. The expo is held in Beijing each May and is a high-tech international cooperation and exchange convention jointly organized by PRC Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Information Industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Beijing Municipality. It has been successfully held five times since its establishment in 1998; it is the most influential and the largest technique show in technology field with extensive international participation; and it is the comprehensively large-scale event platform of trade, business cooperation, idea and information exchange. ,as the branch of the sixth CBHT ,China International Wood -Forestry Fair aim at to promote the development and meet the requirement of China forestry market .

Because of the rapid development of China economy and Beijing's holding 2008 Olympics, China is moving ahead with large-scale infrastructure construction. Beijing will build 12 Olympic gyms and one Olympic center. Besides this, China government will invest USD 20.8 billion for Beijing infrastructure in the areas of business facility, travel industry, high-tech industry, agriculture, satellite cities and so on. At present, nearly 5000 big hotels and restaurants in China need to be renovated, and some large markets and recreation areas need to be ornamented as well. At the same time, the Chinese government plans to build 200 million sqm. of housing each year, a total about 4 million apartments.

Timber harvest from China's natural forests will be reduced greatly to ensure the healthy development of China nature forest. The Chinese government will limit the disafforestation of domestic nature forest, 51.46-million cubic meters of timber output in 2002. The exploitation amount will decrease 20% each year form 2002. According to the statistics of China the total timber demand of China in 2002 is 105-million cubic meters, of 12.185-million cubic meters import logs in first half year, which increase 52.5% than same term last year; 2.517-million cubic meters import bolt timber, which increase 39.3% than same term last year. So the large quantity of import timber is needed to supplement the Chinese timber market shortage. This will bring great opportunities for foreign timber firms to enter the China market.

A ready-for-display package stand has been designed for exhibitors to use a cost-effective means of participation and a minimum of 9 square meters is required (Multiple units are possible.)

A standard Shell Scheme Booth (per 9 square meters) includes:
Fascia board (300mm. high) with exhibitor English and Chinese name thereon.
Aluminum frame system.
White plywood panel walls (2500mm. high) on all closed sides of the stand.
Booth area fully carpeted.
One information counter (1000mm.L×450mm.W×760mm.H).
Two chairs and one wastebasket.
One 5A/220V socket (International Style) & Two fluorescent tubes.

Raw exhibit space is available in minimum 36 square meters. Special designs, layout and fitting may be arranged by exhibitors at additional cost by direct application to our Official Booth Contractor.

B.PRODUCT PROMOTION & TECHNICAL SEMINAR
Exhibitors will be given the opportunity to hold seminars which are widely considered as a best way to have Chinese end-users informed of advanced technique and equipment and as a very effective means to realize trade and cooperation possibilities.

Management Fee: USD500.00 per session (including a seminar room, assisting to inviting 50 professional audience and providing audience's drinks).

Seminars will be held four times a day during the exhibition. Each seminar can last as 2.5 hours (09:00-11:30, or 13:30-16:00).

3.PARTICIPATION PROCEDURES:
1. Fill in the Application Form and return it to the organizers. Application by fax is also acceptable. Please note that the application deadline is April 20th, 2003.
2. Upon receipt of the Application Form from the exhibitor, the official Contract in duplicate will be sent to the applicant for signature.
3. Space allocation deposit of 50%of the total booth rental must be made or all the payment can be paid once by a bank telegraphic transfer in Us dollars in accordance with the Performa Invoice issued by the organizers dollars in accordance with the Performa invoice issued by the organizer. The balance payment should be settled no later than April 10th, 2003.
4. An Exhibitor Manual explaining freight forwarding. Booth design and construction, travel arrangement accommodation, rental facilities, manpower services, advertising, visa application and so on will be sent to all the registered exhibitors upon confirmation of participation. Participants are required to return those forms to the organizer before the respective deadlines.
5. No space/booth will be allocated until payment of deposit is received. Booth allocation is on the "first come, first served" basis, until being sold out.
